Cupcake and Collages

Happy New Year/January/Flu Season!

Sullivan and Lego taking a nap
I hope your house is surviving winter and as healthy as can be during a Midwest January!  We avoided the stomach flu but did get hit with a little influenza.  (So far just little Sullivan has had it.) And as terrible as it sounds, I like Sullivan when he's down for the count.  He either runs at 1,000% or nothing.  So, like I told the pediatrician: "A sick Sullivan is a normal little kid."

Big news! Paper Miniskirt has a new addition to the team --  a sweet new ride to get me to and from art shows! Allow me to introduce you to Cupcake:
Cupcake, the new Ford E-250 Cargo van
She's all cargo, with the back completely open and ready to be filled with magnet boards!  I absolutely plan on sprucing her up with some color or a logo.  Something that says "Here comes Paper Miniskirt!" I"m totally in love and can't wait to get on down the road with her.  Why Cupcake? She is so white and clean and pretty, that she reminded me of a big helping of creme cheese frosting.  And, I now have room for a lot more cupcakes up front with me when I'm traveling.  Makes total sense, doesn't  it?

Speaking of gettin' on down the road: I'm working on applications for 2013 shows.  90% of them are juried shows, which means I have to apply and get accepted.  As the acceptances come in, I'll keep you posted on a schedule.  Thank you for all your input on which shows are must-dos! I love hearing first hand from my customers where YOU like to shop!  First show of the year is the Spring Festival at Canterbury in Shakopee April 12,13,14.

There are so many things I love about my job.  One thing I absolutely treasure is hearing where you're hanging your magnet board and how it's solving a problem for you in your home.  Last month I received this photo from Mary in Minnesota after she redid her craft room and used three Dandy Damask pattern magnet boards as a collage on her wall:

Using three magnet boards as a collage

Isn't this room gorgeous?! I love her Paris theme and it makes me want to go in and start scrapbooking!    Thanks Mary for sharing your photo!  I'd love to see how YOU used your magnet board. Send me your photos, and I'll email you a coupon code for $5 off your next purchase online or at a show!  Email them to me at kristi@paperminiskirt.com or upload them on them to the Paper Miniskirt Facebook page.

By the way, have you liked Paper Miniskirt's Facebook page? You're the first to know about sales, specials, new fabrics, organizing tips and great deals that I run across.

Peace, Love and Paper Miniskirts!
